Daisy Dewsnap: Searching for a good movie? Then best make a Run for it

Daisy Dewsnap filling your TV screens with a new thriller.

Our regular columnist, secondary school student Daisy Dewsnap, reviews the Netflix psychological thriller ‘Run’.

‘Run’ is psychological thriller that tells the story of a home-schooled teenager who begins to suspect her mother may be holding back a very dark secret from her.

She slowly starts to realise that there may be more to the story of her medical condition than she has been led to believe.

This film is compelling and riveting with the perfect balance of suspense to keep us avidly wanting to watch more without despairing at the constant tension throughout.

I felt that it was very well-crafted and hit us with a very shocking twist too which I always love to see in films like this one.

The acting was incredible from both of the leading roles.

Kiera Allen, who played the teenage girl (Chloe), was so talented and this film was her debut performance so it was wonderful to see her talent depicted through the role!

A short while ago, I did a film review of ‘Searching’ which followed the tale of a frantic dad searching for his missing daughter.

I gave it a great review as it was excellently put together with amazing cinematography and the majority of the film was portrayed through phone screens and laptops.

I didn’t know until after watching ‘Run’ that both of these films were directed by the same people!

I absolutely loved this film and I can’t recommend it enough!

It’s available on Netflix now.
