Stalybridge Cosmo Bingo has joined the increasing number of businesses and organisations across Tameside to support the Ukrainian Appeal.

The Market Street venue is acting as a donation point for donations, with the call going out for blankets, pillows, children’s clothes and toys plus toiletries and sanitary items especially.

The whole community has rallied to the cause with an overwhelming quantity of items being donated to the appeal overall, and it is hoped the more donation points there are, the easier it will be for residents to make local donations.

Cllr Jackie Lane said the reaction by the local community to the appeal had been phenomenal, with all items being collected ultimately being taken to the Ukrainian Centre in Ashton and then on to Poland and Ukraine itself to help all those fleeing the war.

You can take items along to Cosmo Bingo, Market Street, Stalybridge, anytime between 11am-8pm, seven days a week.
