Ashton youngster is all set for Christmas appeal

JUST THE TICKET: Olivia with the Christmas cards she designed last year.

Big-hearted Ashton youngster Olivia Kenyon is busy fundraising for Action Together's Christmas Toy Appeal - even though it's not even Easter yet.

Last year Olivia, seven, raised £500 for the appeal by designing and selling her own Christmas cards, the money was used to buy toys for children who may not otherwise have received a present.

Olivia, a regular supporter of the appeal, is starting off even earlier this year.

Lisa Hannibal, Volunteering Support Officer (Tameside) at Action Together, said: “She is such a little superstar! For the last two years this wonderful little girl has raised hundreds of pounds for the appeal by making and selling Christmas cards and baubles.”

Olivia is busy fundraising again and has already raised £250 for the Christmas 2022 appeal.

The youngster has created some beautiful hampers that would be ideal for Mother’s Day or even as a treat for yourself or a loved one and is busy selling raffle tickets - the winning tickets landing the hampers.

All of the money Olivia raises will be used to buy Christmas presents for children living in poverty in Tameside this Christmas.

If you would like to buy some raffle tickets yourself, you can contact Olivia’s mum Lauren on 07483 358516. Tickets cost £2 for one strip and £5 for two.
