Chris Willcock leaves Stalybridge Celtic

Stalybridge Celtic have confirmed manager Chris Willcock has left the club.

This comes after a disappointing season for Celtic, where they were relegated to the Northern Premier League West Division.

Willcock joined the club in May 2022 after a short spell at Workington came to an end.

Stalybridge Celtic thanked Willcock for his services via Twitter:

“The club can confirm that Chris Willcock has left his position as first team manager. We’d like to place our thanks to Chris, Lincoln and Warren for their dedication, commitment and efforts during a difficult season. We wish them all the best for the future.”

A spokesperson for Willcock said, “People might not know that Chris left the club last night. Despite the very challenging circumstances he has enjoyed his time at Celtic. He would like to express his thanks to the supporters for their dedication, support and passion throughout the season.”
