Let’s make some noise for Oldham Pride this weekend!

The ever-popular Oldham Pride festival is back this weekend, with a range of entertainment and activities across the town centre and Alexandra Park.

The Pride parade; live musical performances and arts and crafts suitable for all the family are among the entertainment running all weekend from Friday 21 July to Sunday 23 July.

Kicking off the Pride weekend on Friday will be film screenings at Oldham Library, followed by a pre-Pride party at The George Tavern from 8pm, including cabaret and games hosted by Terri Fox.

The Pride parade event itself will take place the following day on Saturday, July 22, from 12noon onwards and will travel through the town centre to the Queen Elizabeth Hall where there will be community stalls, a youth event and a main stage cabaret until 7pm.  The line-up of acts on offer include Kelly Wilde, Marigold Addams and The Glitter Palace Showgirls.

Oldham Play Action Group will also be providing free of charge Pride-themed arts and crafts in the Queen Elizabeth Hall from 10am until 7pm.
