New CIC launches in Glossop redefining retirement through employment

Extra Time (UK) is a Community Interest Company based in Glossop who aims to help retired people in receipt of a pension wanting to return to work, and businesses who need reliable staff.

They will be holding their first Opportunity Event on 18th October at the old Co-operative Building, Glossop.

The Directors are a group of people who have been brought together by their shared desire to support people and communities, with four out of the five being retirees.

As a CIC, 75% of any profits they make will be used to further support their charitable purpose.

They aim to deliver a trained, reliable, experienced workforce and prove the added value of older employees, enabling retired people to contribute something valuable to the workforce.

They will provide recruitment and retention cost savings to companies

and will listen and act on what companies need by providing staff who have so much to offer and match both the needs of the clients and that of the business.

The Directors stress they are not an employment agency, they are an ethical employment broker.

The aim is to fill vacancies with trustworthy, enthusiastic, competent, and trained employees who have been recruited from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances.
