Members of High Peak Borough Council are to meet on Tuesday (22 February) to set their council tax level for 2022/2023.
A rise of 2.5 per cent, which would mean a £5 a year rise for a Band D property, is proposed for the borough council’s share of council tax.
In Derbyshire, council tax goes to the county council, borough and district councils, the police, and fire service. The largest proportion goes to the county council who have approved a three per cent rise.
The total council tax paid is slightly higher in areas with town or parish councils as it includes an amount to fund them as well.
The meeting of High Peak Borough Council takes place at 7.15pm on Tuesday at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton.
