Seven people in Hadfield are celebrating after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The neighbours netted the windfall when SK13 2EQ was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People's Postcode Lottery on Wednesday (9 December).
Ambassador Danyl Johnson (pictured) sent his well-wishes to the winners. He said: "What fantastic news, congratulations to our winners in Hadfield! I'm sure they'll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special."
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities, and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
The draw was promoted by Theirworld, which has received over £7.3 million in funding from the players of People's Postcode Lottery. Theirworld is a children's charity, committed to ending the global education crisis. Its mission is to ensure that every child around the world has the best start in life, a safe place to learn and gain skills for the future.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
