Deadline looms for Buxton Fringe performers

Performers and exhibitors are being urged to enter this summer's Buxton Fringe as soon as possible.

The festival runs from 6 to 24 July and events are already building up fast.

But the discounted £50 entry fee is only available until 28 February.

Fringe chair Stephen Walker said: “The healthy level of early entries suggests that the Fringe is coming back to full strength after two Covid-affected years.

“We can't wait to see what artists and performers have in store for the summer."

Musical treats include High Peak Big Band, Ordsall Acappella Singers, the Manchester Recorder Orchestra, and music from The Good Ole Boys & Susie and the Bad Habits at the Serpentine Community Garden.

In Theatre, there is a chance to see everything from Alan Bennett monologues to a ghost story with a difference at St Mary’s Church.

A host of comics offer much-needed laughs and further categories of entertainment throw up all sorts of fun from Morris Dancing to magic and philosophy talks to children’s workshops in the park.

Full details on how to enter are available at www.buxtonfringe.org.uk
