Edale and Glossop Mountain Rescue teams joined forces on Sunday (16 January) to look for a young wild camper who was late meeting up with his family after a night out in the hills.

The search for the well-equipped youngster included search and rescue dogs. Happily, the camper turned up safe and well near Derwent Reservoir.

On Monday (17 January), Edale MRT assisted the ambulance service with a casualty who had suffered a painful ankle injury while down near the river on the Chatsworth estate.

Later in the afternoon, both the Edale and Buxton teams were called to the Mam Tor area to help a woman who had injured her ankle.

A couple on holiday had been walking when the woman slipped down a muddy slope. She was stretchered to an ambulance and taken to hospital for further treatment.
