Online public meeting about Mottram bypass plans

Friends of the Earth is hosting an online public meeting about the latest proposals for the Mottram bypass, which local residents are invited to.

The virtual meeting has been called 'A57 Link Roads High Peak / Tameside - Relief or Rogue?'

It's taking place on Monday 7 December from 7.30pm.

Friends of the Earth say they hope the meeting will "offer a national perspective on the latest proposals as well as giving local people a chance to ask questions and have their say".

The group said: "We realise how difficult it has been during lockdown for any community conversations to take place about these proposals, and yet these proposals really matter to local communities. We hope that our meeting will allow people to hear others’ views and to test out their own, before they complete their consultation response and return it to Highways England.”

Whatever your views on the current proposals, everyone is very welcome to attend the meeting.

The free-to-attend meeting will take place on the internet-based Zoom platform. You can register for the event via Eventbrite by clicking here.
