Man in critical condition in hospital after Stalybridge collision

Police are appealing for witnesses as a 23-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being seriously injured in a collision in Stalybridge.

Emergency services were called after reports that an off-road motorised bike collided with a wall in a car park on Mottram Road at around 6.15pm on Saturday night (March 21). 

The rider, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury and remains in a critical condition. 

An investigation has been launched and police are appealing for information. 

Constable Peter Cunningham, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "Sadly this incident has left a man with very serious injuries, and we are keen to establish the circumstances behind this collision. 

"I am hopeful that there are witnesses who will be able to assist us further with our enquiries, and would like to take this opportunity to ask anyone who has any information or any dash cam footage to please get in touch with police as soon as possible."
