Hyde sign midfielder

Hyde United manager Dave McGurk has strengthened his squad with the signing of Rochdale U18 midfielder, Louis White.

Commenting on the signing and the general developments at Ewen Fields, McGurk told the club's website: “Louis comes to us after watching him with Rochdale U18’s last season. A lot of people, including us, were surprised he did not get a pro contract at Rochdale. He is a player who is technically very good and for a young player he already has a very good understanding of the game.

"The squad is shaping up nicely now and we expect 1 or 2 more signings before pre season starts on the 27th June. We are looking at carrying a squad of 18 players so there is more work to be done. Some of this work will take place during pre season as the market continues to move with trialists moving from club to club. We are very happy with our business so far though and I can’t wait to get back on the grass with the boys come the end of the month.

We would also like to welcome Aaron Laughlin to club. Aaron will be joining us as our new physiotherapist. He has been working with Fylde over the previous year while he completed his qualification and he will join us from the 27th June. Aaron replaces Stef Todd. I can’t speak highly enough of Stef and the work she has carried out with us over the last 3 years. We would love to have her on board with us moving forward but she is unable to commit to the hours at Hyde alongside her other job. Everyone at the football club would like to thank Stef for her work and commitment over her time with us."
