Flood warning issued for Hyde, Ashton, Denton and Stalybridge

A flood warning has been issued for parts of Tameside after heavy rains today

The Met Office say that there is risk to the Rivers Goyt, Tame, Sett and Etherow and their tributaries.

Parts of Hyde, Ashton, Denton and Stalybridge are all warned they could see flooding.

Rivers are expected to reach their highest levels at around 2am on Tuesday morning [10 March] and will remain high until midday.

The Met Office say: "Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue flood warnings if necessary. Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation."
