Don your denim to raise funds for dementia this July

Tameside Rotary, working alongside local fundraiser Angela Wild, will be holding a spectacular evening of live entertainment to raise funds for local charity, Tameside Dementia in Action, and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Tameside Rotary’s inaugural Denim & Diamonds event will be held on Friday 5 July at Stanley Square Conservative Club in Stalybridge, starting at 8 pm.

The (optional) dress code is glam casual so attendees are encouraged to wear denim and, if they wish, pair up with ‘bling’ in the form of sparkly tops or accessories/diamonds.

This gem of a fundraiser will feature two live music entertainment acts.

The evening will commence with professional singer Phil Richmond, followed by professional male vocalist Lee Tatton who has a wide repertoire of music guaranteed to get the audience singing and dancing along.

Lead organiser, Rotarian Su Greaves, said: “We are very grateful to  Phil and Lee, for supporting this event free of charge and also to our venue who have generously donated their room for the evening, not to mention some beer as prizes!  We hope people will come along, have a fun evening and in doing so know they are raising funds for two very important charities.

"Not only will Phil and Lee provide the music but they will also judge the fun free ‘best dressed denim & diamonds’ competitions and award prizes! So don the denim and join in the fun to raise funds for two vital Dementia charities. As they say, you’ve got to jean it, to win it! "

Tickets are priced at £5 and can be purchased direct from www.tamesiderotaryclub.com or alternatively you can send a message to the club’s Facebook page ‘Rotary Tameside’ or approach the venue directly.
