Creative workshops for children let their imagination roam free

Don’t miss out on the free creative children’s camp coming to Tameside this summer.

Year six and seven students have the opportunity to get involved in creative arts at the Explorers of the Emporium Camp.

Would-be writers, artists, dancers and directors can enjoy workshops in their chosen medium.

The artistic hub based in ashton, Phantasmagoria, is hosting the camp activities this August. They’re inviting people to book tickets online for the workshops as numbers are limited. Children can take part in just one of the days or all of them.

The workshops run from 10am-4pm and are as follows:

  • Creative writing – pick up a pen and create magical worlds full of your own characters. Book here

  • Visual arts - create your own board game with imaginative play. Book here

  • Dance & Film – make and film a new dance for the Emporium. Book here

Or for the full summer camp experience book here

To ensure covid safety during camp attendance, participants will remain in bubbles for each activity. Participants are also asked to bring their own lunches, snacks and bottled water.

The programme is being delivered in partnership with Born and Bred Dance Theatre and Mossley Writers, organisations that both have extensive experience of delivering fun, engaging activities for children.
