Councillors to face wet sponges at charity fun day

The Grapes Hotel, Gee Cross.

A charity fun day is set to hit Gee Cross in September to raise funds for Willow Wood.

On the Move Property Boutique, an estate agency based in Gee Cross, have once again pulled out all the stops to help those who need it most.

Their latest endeavour is set to help Willow Wood to ensure they can continue their work in providing care to those with life limiting illnesses.

To do this, they have organised a Charity Fun Day which will take place at The Grapes Hotel between 10am and 4pm.

This event is set to be a huge success and will offer a variety of activity stalls, live music, bowling, bouncy castles, and Morris dancing.

It will also see a selection of Hyde Werneth councillors stepping up to receive a wet sponge throw. The councillors will face the stocks and give visitors the opportunity to launch a sponge while raising much-appreciated funds.

All games will be £1 a go and all proceeds will go to Willow Wood Hospice.

So if you’re looking for a way to have a day of fun whilst supporting those in need, the fun day might just be the perfect location.
