Charity gears up for Halloween season

Ashton's The Anthony Seddon Fund charity is all set for the Halloween season.

The charity has organised an online Halloween costume competition.

Entries can be sent to angiewild@tasfund.org.uk with all entries posted on the charity’s Facebook page.

The best costume will win a prize.

The charity's shop on George Street is also decorated and all set for the spooky season with a series of special offers.

Meanwhile, the charity recently staged a socially-distanced get-together for their wonderful volunteers to celebrate their hard work and achievements at the Ashton centre.

They were able to tuck into potato hash and minestrone soup, cooked by receptionist, Bev Marsden.

Volunteer Clare Waugh made some very pretty cupcakes which went down very well.

There was lots of laughter and fun and it’s something the centre will be doing to say thank you to its volunteers on a regular basis.

For more information on volunteering at The Anthony Seddon Fund, contact Anna Hughes, Volunteer Coordinator, on 0161 409 0585 or email annahughes@tasfund.org.uk.

In the pictures Bev Marsden (receptionist) and Donna Thomas (CEO) serve up a tasty thank you, plus volunteer Pat Broadhead (pictured below), the potato hash cooked by Bev and cupcakes made by Clare.
