Ashton Sixth Form rated top college in Tameside again

Ashton Sixth Form College are celebrating after being named as the top performing college in Tameside for the fourth year running.

They were also named the fourth highest performing college across all of Greater Manchester and ranked amongst the very best colleges in the North West.

The success comes as figures are released by the Department for Education, who noted the improvements the college has made year on year.

Principal Anton McGrath said: "We are immensely proud to be well placed in the Department for Education’s league tables once again. In times of change, with students sitting fully linear qualifications for the first time, we have clearly demonstrated that we can support students to exceed their expectations.

"We are ambitious for all who come to the college; those who choose to join our community can expect fantastic teaching, tailored support and a huge variety of enrichment opportunities to help them become the best version of themselves and reach their goals."
