Ashton and Droylsden scout groups seek new leaders, supporters and trustees

Would you like to help young people, girls and boys in scouting?

Ashton and Droylsden scout groups are looking for more leaders, supporters and trustees.

They are seeking volunteers for their other sections in their nine scout groups of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Networks.

All volunteers need a DBS check and there will be basic beginner training modules that must be carried out within five months of starting - these will cover essential information, safety, safeguarding and GDPR - all are online, free and take around 45 minutes to complete.

You don't need to have been a Scout prior to the training as this will provide you with all the information you need.

Alan Fish was presented with a Silver Wolf at Windsor Castle for many years of Volunteering in Scouting.

He said: "I didn't do it for an award, I did it to help young people be better citizens in all of our differing communities."
