In the NPL Premier Division, Stalybridge Celtic returned from Lancaster City empty handed after a 2-0 defeat.

Elsewhere, Hyde United crusied to a 3-0 victory over Grantham Town at Ewen Fields. Goals came courtesy of Tom Pratt and and Liam Tongue double. It was the Tigers first game since manager Dave McGurk resigned on Monday.

In the NPL West, Glossop North End shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at City of Liverpool. Rory Fallon’s opener for Glossop was cancelled out by Nathan Burke.

In the FA Cup Preliminary Round replay, Mossley were heading to the next round after taking a 2-0 lead against Lower Breck through Andy Keogh and Declan Evans, however the referee abandoned the game in the dying stages due to an incident which both clubs have yet to comment on.
