The victim was reportedly pushed to the ground, threatened with a knife and robbed of his personal belongings, including a coat and Apple Air Pods, at the Failsworth tram stop.
It is understood the victim, aged 17, and his friend were targeted by three young males aged between 16 and 17 years old, although only two members of the group carried out the attack. The offenders were seen before the robbery occurred getting off the tram at the Failsworth tram stop on Hardman Lane.
Officers are appealing to the public for any information. They want to speak to the individuals in the images as officers believe they may have further information regarding this incident.
