VictoriARTs “Trio” Exhibition: Glossop venue set to showcase work of three local artists

Work of (left to right): Chris Taylor, Helen Gerrard & Elizabeth Dewer

Following the success of the VictoriARTs exhibition last November, showcasing the works of more than 40 local artists, the Friends of Victoria Hall have plans for a similar event in this coming November.

In the meantime, they are organising the VictoriARTs' "Trio" exhibition which is set to take place at Victoria Hall on Talbot Street in Glossop over the weekend of April 27 and 28.

This showcase will provide an opportunity to delve into the extensive repertoire of three exceptionally skilled local artists: Elizabeth Dewey, Helen Gerrard (Mermaid Tales) and Chris Taylor.

Elizabeth produces much-admired paintings, and has recently channeled her talents into the art of collage to great effect.

Helen has become a very popular local artist, with her distinct and highly original twists on Glossop's landscapes and scenes.

Chris is a highly accomplished artist, with a rich background in animation and calligraphy. In recent times, he has ventured into producing artwork in the mosaic style

More information about the artists can be found on the Friends of Victoria Hall Facebook page.

The exhibition will be open between 11am and 3:30pm on both days.

Refreshments will be on sale and some of the artwork will be available to purchase, but admission is free of charge.

The Friends said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to relax in one of Glossop's most important buildings and enjoy the work of three of our exceptional local artists."
