Teenage boy 'attacked by a number of youths' in Hadfield

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 13-year-old boy was allegedly attacked by 'a number of youths' in Hadfield. 

Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said the incident happened in the Brosscroft area of Hadfield on Tuesday 20 July between 5.10pm and 5.40pm and possibly involved a hammer. 

It's believed the youths then headed towards The New Lamp pub at Bankbottom and up Station Road towards Hadfield train station. 

Police are appealing for anyone with information, any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage who may have captured the incident to get in touch.
