Like to find out a little more about volunteering with Willow Wood? There's a pop-up volunteering event on Friday (20 August) and Saturday (21 August) just outside the entrance of Tesco Glossop.

Tracy Ashton, manager of the Willow Wood Glossop shop, will be there together with a number of existing volunteers, so visitors can chat to those already enjoying their roles and get first-hand information on the variety of opportunities available.  

Tracy said: “It’s a great way to find out just what our volunteers do – and how much they enjoy themselves doing it. Volunteering at your local Willow Wood shop directly helps our patients by raising funds to provide care, but can also give volunteers a new lease of life.

"They can learn new skills and gain valuable work experience at the same time as making real friendships with those of a similar mind-set.

“Just call down between 10am to 3pm (weather permitting) for a chat. We’d love to see you.”
