Motorcyclist left with 'life-changing injuries' after crash in Glossop

A motorcyclist was left with injuries described as life-changing after a collision at the bottom of the A57 Snake Pass in Glossop.

It happened at around 1.05pm on Saturday afternoon (16 April) at the top of Sheffield Road, close to the Royal Oak Inn.

Police say it involved a white Ford Focus and a red Triumph Bonneville motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was left with serious injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital with what are described as life-changing injuries.

The incident saw the busy stretch of road closed until around 6.30pm, with heavy congestion in the area in both directions as a result.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, especially those with either CCTV or dashcam footage that may have captured the incident.

Anyone with any information that can assist with enquiries is asked to contact the force, with reference 22*215975:
