Glossopdale police officer is retiring

A well-respected police officer is retiring after more than 20 years working in Glossopdale.

Glossop Police Safer Neighbourhood Team is saying goodbye and good luck to PCSO 4416 Ann Morris, who retires on 11 March but her last day on duty is Tuesday (28 February).

Ann worked as a traffic warden in Glossop from September 2001 before becoming a Police Community Support Officer in 2005.

One of the first PCSOs to be employed by Derbyshire Constabulary, Ann began on the Gamesley beat area before changing to the Glossop town centre area in 2013.

PCSO Brian Buller, of the Glossop Police SNT, said: "It is a sad day for the Glossop area and for Glossop SNT. We'd like to wish her well, all the very best and good luck for the future

"Well done Ann - God bless, enjoy your retirement. We'll miss you and we're sure you'll not be forgotten for a very long time."
