A sign of the times in Padfield

Padfield councillor Ollie Cross is putting his part of Glossopdale on the map.

He's got High Peak Borough Council to replace two of the village's tatty and battered street signs with more stylish replacements.

Redgate and Little Padfield Road were the first and Ollie is looking to replace more.

He said: “Not only is Redgate one of the entrances to Padfield, it is the home of the famous Coal Race, which is the highlight of Padfield village life.”

Ollie is asking Padfield people to call him with any other Padfield street signs that need replacing.
