A chance for Simmondley projects to get a cash boost

Simmondley's Labour borough councillor Stewart Gardner.

A Simmondley councillor is looking for local community groups and initiatives who need an extra cash boost to get in touch with him.

Stewart Gardner wants to hear from anyone who is part of a group or project in Simmondley that could do with some additional funding.

As a High Peak borough councillor, he receives a Councillors' Initiative Fund - which gives out small financial grants to help with the running costs of projects.

Cllr Gardner said: "It can help projects like the Glossopdale Community Running Track which me, and other councillors, put funding towards a couple of years ago.

"If it sounds like it could be of use to you, then do get in touch with me. You can email me at Stewart.Gardner@highpeak.gov.uk or you can get in touch via my councillor Facebook page.

"There is a form to fill in and a few stipulations but honestly it's nothing too complicated. Hopefully it can be of use to you, so do get in touch."
