Two men from Hyde and Glossop charged after dawn raids

Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Tactical Aid Unit carrying out a raid.

Two men, from Glossop and Hyde respectively, have been charged by detectives investigating the supply of drugs and firearms across the North West region.

Michael Sierotko, 32, of Markham Close in Hyde, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and conspiracy to supply a firearm. 

Oliver Harrison, 31, of Hawthorn Drive, Glossop, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply a firearm, and possession with intent to supply class B drugs. 

A third man - Peter Downs, 44, of Rochdale Road in Bacup - has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B, and conspiracy to supply a firearm.

They will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court later on Wednesday (17 November). 

Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Tactical Aid Unit - along with support from GMP Tameside, Lancashire, and Derbyshire constabularies - arrested the men before dawn on Tuesday (16 November). 

They are the 200th arrests as part of the law enforcement operation led by the National Crime Agency - codenamed Venetic - investigating the encrypted communication network EncroChat.

A 25-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, has been released under investigation.
