Theatre returns to Tameside for summer pantomime

Tickets are still on sale for Hyde Little Theatre's performance of Sleeping Beauty the Pantomime Movie.

Sleeping Beauty the Pantomime Movie opened last weekend and runs until Sunday (27 June) but has been in production for more than a year after multiple national lockdowns delayed its opening.

Families are now being encouraged to come down to the theatre and enjoy a night of magic. You’ll be taken on the story of sleeping beauty, a Princess cursed into a deep sleep, only to be broken by true loves kiss.

Gavin Chadwick plays the evil fairy Carabosse and couldn’t be more excited to get back on the stage.

He added: “We’re taking the audience on a truly amazing journey, combining on-screen action and a live cast.

“What we do at Hyde Little Theatre really is a passion. We all give up our own time twice a week to do this because it’s a passion. When you see us performing as characters on stage, it comes from the heart.

“The theatre has gone through a lot of work to ensure it’s safe. You won’t be fighting against covid, because everything is fully air and surface sanitised, the cast are covid tested and everything is socially distanced, so it’s worth getting out and about and enjoying the theatre.”

Evening and matinee performances are being held throughout the fortnight.

Tickets can be booked at https://www.hydelittletheatre.co.uk/
