Stepping back in time for prehistoric fun in Hyde

It was Dino Day at Hyde artisan market last weekend and visitors gathered in crowds to see the prehistoric creatures stomp through the Civic Square.

The Hyde market takes place on the first Saturday of each month and is home to some of the most creative minds in the borough.

Bespoke products from small businesses committed to providing the public with everything they may need, except this week they were accompanied by some daunting characters.

Live dinosaurs made their way through the town square, making their presence known to all who visited along with some wacky scientists who were on hand to deliver all their Jurassic knowledge.

The day saw a digital dino hunt with QR codes scattered around local businesses and those who took part in this were entered into a prize draw.

The event proved a huge success and was home to hundreds of cheery visitors who were able to experience a flavour of local tradespeople.

Look out for the next artisan market in Hyde on Saturday 5 September.
