'Pawsome' tales of dogs hoping to sniff out new homes

Denton-based Dogs Trust Manchester is offering dog lovers the chance to find out just what it takes to look after our four-legged friends who have found themselves without a forever home.

The centre is giving local community groups the opportunity to hear all about the work of Dogs Trust, from matching people with their perfect canine companion to what daily life is like for the staff and dogs, through to fundraising and the vital role volunteers play - including fostering dogs and helping at the centre with everything from laundry to dog-walking.

Dogs Trust Manchester Supporter Relations Officer (SRO), Nicola Hardman, said: “We give talks all year round to community groups and although at the moment we can’t go out and about to meet groups face to face, we are still spreading the Dogs Trust word and giving people an insight into how we are continuing to change the tale for our gorgeous dogs, finding them their ideal homes in these unusual times.

“If anyone would like to book a virtual talk, please do get in touch. It's lovely meeting up with local groups, even if it’s on-screen for the time being.”

Anyone who would like to book a talk for their community group should call Nicola on 077959 14115 or email her at Nicola.hardman@dogstrust.org.uk.
