Mountain rescue talk at Droylsden Library

There's a talk about the early history and development of mountain rescue in the UK coming up at Droylsden Library.

At the next event by Droylsden Lively Minds Club, Peter Hyde from Oldham Mountain Rescue Team will tell visitors all about how mountain rescue first evolved. He will also share some of the more unusual things they get up to.

It will be on Wednesday, March 4, from 10am to 11.30am at the library on Manchester Road.

For more information, call the library on 0161 370 1282 or email Stephanie.hogan@tameside.gov.uk

It’s free to attend and there’s no need to book, so people can turn up on the day.

Everyone is welcome and tea and coffee will be served.
