Mossley Hollins reporters of tomorrow

Students at Mossley Hollins have been learning the ins and outs of news reporting thanks to their very own ‘Young Reporters’ Club’.

They’ve been writing a myriad of articles including how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting them.

They’ve also had mini masterclasses on how best to create stories that are engaging to their audiences.

As children have gradually returned to school, the reporters have been giving their thoughts on what it means for their fellow students.

Earlier in the year, students took part in the BBC Young Reporter competition, which saw them write articles that were important to them and their generation.

Our photographer visited the school site on Huddersfield Road, before social distancing restrictions, to capture tomorrow’s journalists in action as they worked hard preparing stories, bulletins and presentations.
