Look out for Father Christmas in Droylsden

Father Christmas is set to be out and about in Droylsden on Sunday afternoon (20 December) and he is asking all the children to visit him - whilst following Covid-19 guidelines.

From 3pm, Santa Claus will be parading around the streets of Littlemoss, along with his reindeer, in the hope of bringing joy to local children as well as raise some much-appreciated funds for charity 'Cash For Kids'.

Paul Ward (pictured) has been Tameside's 'Saint Nick' for the last 20 years, with his experience mainly being in local schools and churches.

With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic affecting festivities for everyone this year, organisations have been unable to host visitors, leaving him searching for a new way of spreading Christmas joy this month.

Paul told us: "I always choose to raise money for Cash for Kids as it is for the children and they are the most important at Christmas.

"I cannot think of any child waking up to no gifts on Christmas morning, so hopefully we can raise some money for them to do our bit. It makes my Christmas worthwhile knowing that this will help even a few children this year".

Father Christmas is beyond excited to be touring the estates and meeting as many children as possible on his journey. With Christmas music playing, Santa will be a hard one to miss.

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity helping the children that need it most.

The charity says its mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.
