Local charity launches new 30-day fundraising challenge

Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind has launched a new challenge to encourage potential fundraisers to get active whilst raising funds for the local mental health charity.

A brand new pair of Merrell shoes and a certificate are also on offer for all those who take part in the #TOGMIND30DayChallenge.

TOG Mind is looking for 30 fantastic local fundraisers to take on a 30-day challenge to help raise vital funds for the charity - whether they raise £50, £500 or more.

Jason, who has worked for TOG Mind for over four years, said: “This has been the hardest year on record for the charity and referral rates in some areas have increased massively, whilst the charity ensures we continue to provide the best support options including face to face and online. We wanted to make this something fun and relatively easy that would also benefit the people taking part.

"It’s FREE and it’s rewarding with all receiving full support from TOG Mind, in helping you celebrate and spread the word. As a local branch of Mind, we work in partnership with National Mind to deliver excellent mental health services to anyone who needs them, but we are an independent local charity and are responsible for our own funding."

The opportunity is open to anyone local and people can sign up throughout January and February, or until the 30 places are taken.

Anyone interested in finding out more or in taking part can contact Jason on 0161 330 9223 or email fundraising@togmind.org.
