Letter of thanks from academies trust chief

Chief Executive Officer of Victorious Academies Trust, Karen Burns, has written to parents to praise them for their help and support during the latest lockdown.

“I wanted to write and thank all our families for their resilience and patience during these challenging times,” Karen (pictured) stated.

“It has been so uplifting to see so many positive tweets from our staff, pupils and parents at home and school alike and at a time where I am not able to be around the children as much as I would like, these have really kept me positive and reaffirmed my commitment to every adult and young person in our Trust.”

She also offered her sincere thanks for all the work many parents have put into their child’s home learning.

“I am acutely aware that this is not easy, especially if you are working from home yourself and trying to manage lots of things all at once.”

She concludes in the hope she can write soon about the re-opening of schools.

The Trust incorporates seven separate academies including Discovery Academy in Hattersley.
