Have you seen this dazzling Christmas display in Audenshaw?

Every year, Jamie Stirling decks the halls of his Audenshaw home on Baroness Road.

With a 12ft tall Christmas tree and a 20ft tall Santa, plus lights galore, Jamie has made a name for himself across the borough, with dozens of people stopping by to take a look.

Visitors from as far as Liverpool have been dazzled by the display.

On the garden fence is a postbox for Christmas letters and a charity box, collecting for ‘Mission Christmas’.

Donations for the Mission are put toward buying gifts for families facing poverty this season, and is part of the grant-giving charity, Cash for Kids. In 2019, Cash for Kids raised more than £20.9 million, supporting more than one million disadvantaged children.

Money placed in the collection box goes toward making Christmas magical for as many people as possible, which is Stirling’s motivation for turning his home into a Winter Wonderland.

The cost of all the festive decorations was £4,000, with £2,000 now raised for ‘Mission Christmas’.
