The Covid vaccination van is continuing its tour of Tameside with another pop-up clinic this weekend.

It has already called in Ashton, Hyde, Denton and Audenshaw.

On Saturday (26 June), it will be at Silver Springs Primary Academy on School Crescent from 10am to 4pm.

Anyone who is eligible to receive their first dose of a coronavirus vaccine can simply drop in, with no need for an appointment or ID.

People can book a time slot in advance by heading to www.tamesideandglossop.nhsvaccinations.co.uk or, if you don't have online access, you can call your GP practice.

As per the national guidance, anyone aged 18 or over is now eligible to get a jab.

With step four of the government's roadmap for easing restrictions now delayed until 19 July, the government aims by then to have double jabbed two-thirds of the adult population - everyone over 50, all the vulnerable, all frontline health and care workers and over-40s who received their first dose by mid-May.
