Appeal to reunite rescued cat with rightful owner

An appeal is being made to reunite a lost cat with his rightful owner this week.

The stricken black puss was discovered limping near Stalybridge bus station late last Thursday by cat lover Michelle Solar-Canton.

“He was limping and obviously hungry,” said Michelle, who has taken him in.

She specialises in caring for feral cats, feeding them in the wild but also ensuring they are neutered and helps strays in an effort to return them to their owners.

The lost cat has been taken to the vets for a check over and treatment for his poorly paw.

He is neutered, all black with a few white hairs on his chest but has no microchip.

He is now in the safe foster care with Michelle who is keen to reunite him with his owner.

Michelle will care for cats for a few weeks but says she only has room for so many before needing to pass them into the care of an animal sanctuary.

If you recognise the cat as yours you can call Michelle on 07470 095084.

Proof of ownership will be required.

You can view more details on Michelle’s Facebook page Stalybridge feline care-Tobias’s legacy.
