A takeaway rated higher than McDonald's is set to open in Denton

The team at Burgerism, which was recently named one of Britain's best burger spots, have confirmed they are opening a new branch on Stockport Road in Denton.

The hole-in-the-wall burger concept will open in mid-March in the former Pizza Hut delivery store, becoming the company's fifth location.

Burgerism was founded in Salford in 2018 and was listed by The Times last year as one of 17 places across the UK offering the best meat patties. Since opening, it has grown to include three permanent locations as well as a concession at Freight Island, and numerous pop-ups across the country.

Burgerism founder, Mark Murphy, said: “Burgerism brings restaurant quality smashed burgers straight into people’s homes.

“Our dream is to be the UK’s go-to delivery burger across the UK, like Domino’s is to pizza. And Denton represents the next piece of the puzzle to do that.

“We’re super excited to launch in the east of Manchester. Right from day one, we’ve had loads of die-hard Burgerism fans making the pilgrimage around the M60 to Salford and, while we’ve admired their commitment, we felt it was time to bring Burgerism closer to more of our friends and fans."
