Roughyeds Have Final In Their Sights

Oldham RLFC are just one game away from the pay-off final as they host Doncaster at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday.

It isn’t make or break for Oldham either as the Roughyeds finished second in the regular-season meaning if they lose this weekend they’ll get another shot next week against the winners of the Newcastle vs Workington clash — and that will be at home too.
Oldham comes into the League One play-off final on the back of some sensational form. The Oldham based team won their last nine games in a row to narrowly miss out on the league title and secure second place. Their home form has also been incredible as they have only lost once all season including a win against Sunday's opponents.

Only third-placed Newcastle Thunder (741) scored more points than Oldham’s 655 in the 20-match regular season.
Champions Whitehaven, who go up automatically, conceded fewer points than anyone else (283), but Doncaster came next with 309.
Oddly, Doncaster beat Roughyeds 31-0 at the Keepmoat in June, while Scott Naylor’s men replied with a 40-14 win at the Vestacare last month.

It's going to be an incredible encounter with Oldham having the chance to create history and also possibly set up encounters with Toronto Wolfpack in Canada and Toulouse Olympique in France.

Normal league-match prices apply so seats will cost £16 for adults and £14 for concessions.
A reminder that the game kicks off at 2 pm.
