Match Report: Stafford Town 0-3 Droylsden

After their disappointing defeat in their previous match, Droylsden got back to winning ways with a 3-0 victory away to Stafford Town.

A big three points that further solidifies their place in the promotion places.

Harry Hatton made his first appearance for the Bloods following his move from Barnton FC.

The first half began with few opportunities for either side, however, it was the home side that looked the more likely to score, forcing Jordan Hadlow into action on several occasions before the break. They then struck the post, before having the follow-up blocked by a Droylsden defender.

Droylsden then came out stronger in the second half, capitalising on the home side’s missed chances in the first half.

Joel Ankers continued his goalscoring form, heading home from an AJ Warburton cross in the 69th minute, before shortly after Caelan Kilheeney made it 2-0 striking one home into the bottom left corner from outside the area.

Finally, Nellson Van added a third with his 12th goal of the season, wrapping up a successful trip to Staffordshire for Dave Pace’s side.

The Bloods next face Alsager Town at the Butchers Arms Ground on Saturday. The two played out a 2-2 draw back in August.
