Glossop North End travelled to Burscough on Saturday 6 April, securing a point after a hard-fought draw in which the weather played its part.

The early minutes of the game saw Glossop North End applying pressure, earning consecutive corners and asserting dominance in the midfield. However, it was Tom Lawless who broke the deadlock in the 3rd minute, putting Glossop ahead with a clinical finish. The lead, however, was short-lived as Burscough's Harry Cannon-Noren capitalised on the wind-assisted conditions to level the score just a minute later.

As the first half progressed, both teams battled fiercely for control of the game. Burscough managed to take the lead again in the 22nd minute through a well-taken shot by John McGrath, but the Hillmen fought back valiantly, with several attempts narrowly missing the target.

The second half saw Glossop's relentless pursuit of an equaliser, with Jack Hopkins and Jacques Etia coming close to finding the back of the net. A substitution saw Harry Freedman introduced in place of Hopkins, injecting fresh energy into Glossop's attacking play.

Despite Glossop's efforts, Burscough remained resolute in defense, thwarting numerous scoring opportunities. Glossop's perseverance finally paid off in the 92nd minute when Tom Lawless secured his brace with a well-placed finish, restoring parity to the scoreline.

In the dying minutes of the game, Glossop pushed for a late winner, with David Badrock and Jacques Etia both going close to clinching victory. However, Burscough's defence held firm, ensuring the points were shared between the two sides at the final whistle.
