Bewley to return to Belle Vue for Peter Craven Memorial Trophy

Former Belle Vue Ace Dan Bewley will lock horns with current Aces No.1 Max Fricke and 2021 British Champion Adam Ellis at the National Speedway Stadium on March 21.

And former national champions Charles Wright and Chris Harris will also throw their names into the mix for a shot at glory in Belle Vue’s flagship event.

The field is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent history, with Brady Kurtz, Nicolai Klindt, Tobias Musielak, Norick Blödorn, Jason Doyle, Matej Žagar and Niels-Kristian Iversen also competing.

And returning Belle Vue Ace Tom Brennan, along with his GB team mate Robert Lambert, have given the nod to a starring role in the field as half of the Great Britain quartet that raced to SoN gold.

Club CEO Mark Lemon said: “There is a real buzz around the club for this year’s Peter Craven Memorial, and the addition of these five riders has made what was already a good field a fantastic one.

“It has all the hallmarks of a miniature Grand Prix in the making. Not only do we have former GP riders, but we now have current GP riders in the form of Max Fricke.

“Charles, Chris and Adam have a solid five British titles between them, and of course Dan Bewley is a man who needs no introduction at the National Speedway Stadium.

“As last year’s meeting winner, he is back to defend his title and this will be one of the very few opportunities that fans will have to see him in action in the UK in 2022.”

Tickets for the 2022 Peter Craven Memorial are on sale now at bellevue-speedway.com, and hospitality will be available for this meeting to pre-book or buy on the night.

Further details concerning hospitality will be shared very soon!
