Belle Vue goes big for Craven

This year’s Peter Craven Memorial will be one of the biggest, most exciting iterations of Belle Vue’s flagship event at the National Speedway Stadium.

That is the message from club boss Mark Lemon as the Aces confirm the first nine riders to contest this year’s event on Monday, March 21 at the National Speedway Stadium.

Brady Kurtz will take to the track for the first time since crashing out of the Czech Golden Helmet last year while Norick Blödorn makes his full UK debut, in Aces colours, after impressing in last year’s event.

SoN gold medallist Tom Brennan, from the Aces' Class of 2022, and his Great Britain team mate Robert Lambert are both confirmed starters, with Lambert making a rare appearance on home shale.

Also throwing their names into the mix for 2022 are Sheffield’s Tobias Musielak and Danish dynamo Nikolai Klindt, who make their first appearance in this prestigious meeting.

And 2017 world champion Jason Doyle returns to the field in pursuit of his fourth Peter Craven trophy along with former Grand Prix regulars Matej Žagar and Niels Kristian-Iversen.

Belle Vue CEO Mark Lemon said: “We always express every year how excited we are for the Peter Craven Memorial, but this year is looking truly exceptional.

“Not only do we have one of the strongest line-ups we’ve ever seen, but we also see the return of the thrilling and impressive 6-rider Grand Final to decide the winner.

“It is fantastic to see the likes of Žagar, Iversen and Lambert finally taking their place in this prestigious event, along with a number of our current Belle Vue riders.

“Updates will be coming thick and fast in the coming days and we’re confident that supporters will be enjoy a bumper night of full-throttle action with the line-up that we have put together.”

Tickets for the 2022 Peter Craven Memorial are on sale now at bellevue-speedway.com, and hospitality will be available for this meeting to pre-book or buy on the night.
