Robber attacked woman, took her keys and stole her car

A woman was attacked and had her car keys stolen.

Officers are appealing for information in connection with ther robbery in Oldham.

At around 2:30pm on Wednesday, a victim was pushed and had her car keys stolen whilst walking to her car on Raleigh Close. The suspect then got into the victim's car - a silver Vauxhall Corsa - and drove away in the direction of Henshaw Street.

The suspect has been described as a white male, in his 30’s, bald, of medium build and height and wearing dark tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie.

The victim's car was recovered by police on Plumpton Lane Oldham, off Sheepfoot Lane, the following day. There are indications that it may have been driven erratically due to the damage found on the vehicle.

Police are now appealing to the public for information in connection with the robbery. Police are also appealing to anyone who may have seen the Silver Corsa being driven erratically - or its being abandoned on Plumpton Lane - to make a report.
