Volunteers needed to help at Victorian and Heritage Weekend

The final preparations are being made for this year's Glossop Victorian and Heritage Weekend.

It takes place from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 May and is being organised by Glossop Round Table, volunteers and community groups.

Hadfield South borough councillor Ed Siddall is also a member of the Round Table.

He said: "We’ve got a great deal of support from local businesses and organisations. But we need help now from people who are willing to volunteer to help us out over the two days.

"We need people to help us set up the weekend, get Norfolk Square ready, running the bar, stewards on the parade and guides to help visitors out.

“We’re going to look after them and get them food. All volunteers will play a big part in bringing back a loved event that hasn’t taken place for many years. We’re also hoping that visitors to the Victorian weekend will spend in our shops."

Anyone who is willing to help out can send a message to the Victorian Weekend Facebook page by clicking here.
