Suspected arson attack in Glossop town centre

Police are continuing to investigate a suspected arson attack in Glossop town centre after a property was broken into.

It happened sometime between 8pm and 9pm on High Street West on Tuesday evening (5 January), with a heavy emergency response witnessed in the area. 

Derbyshire Police say a window was smashed and nothing was stolen, but a small fire was started which is believed to have been deliberate.

No one suffered any injuries and enquiries are ongoing, a spokesperson added.
